About ApproveMyRoof
ApproveMyRoof was created to make complicated roof-insurance documents easier for homeowners to understand — in plain English, without a sales pitch attached.
Why this exists
Roof insurance estimates use replacement cost, actual cash value, deductibles, depreciation, paid-when-incurred items, code items, and other terms that are unfamiliar to most homeowners. Trying to figure out what a carrier actually approved, what was withheld, and what documentation may be needed later can be overwhelming — especially when a contractor or adjuster is waiting on an answer.
ApproveMyRoof organizes claim information into a clearer format so homeowners can ask better questions and make more informed decisions about their own claim.
Who runs ApproveMyRoof
ApproveMyRoof is built and operated by Brian Duke, an experienced Middle Tennessee roofing and insurance-claim specialist based in Hendersonville, TN. Brian has spent years on both the roofing and claims side of the industry and built this platform after seeing how many homeowners were being handed dense insurance paperwork with no way to check the numbers. The goal is a homeowner-first tool that explains what's on the page — not a lead-generation funnel.
What ApproveMyRoof does
- Extracts and organizes the key numbers from an insurance estimate (RCV, ACV, depreciation, deductible, and related line items).
- Explains insurance terms in plain English, in context.
- Flags common areas that may deserve verification or a follow-up question.
- Provides a documentation checklist for the typical claim lifecycle.
- Generates a shareable, printable summary you can bring to an adjuster, contractor, or attorney.
What ApproveMyRoof is not
ApproveMyRoof is an educational document-analysis platform. It is not a law firm, insurance company, public adjuster, engineering firm, or guarantee of coverage or payment.
Specifically, ApproveMyRoof does not:
- File claims or negotiate with insurance carriers on your behalf.
- Provide legal advice or act as your attorney.
- Provide licensed public-adjusting services or engineering opinions.
- Guarantee that any particular finding will result in additional payment.
- Automatically share your uploaded documents with contractors or third parties. Sharing requires your explicit, separate consent.
Our limitations
Automated document analysis has real limits. Insurance estimates vary by carrier, region, policy language, and adjuster style. ApproveMyRoof is designed to flag common issues and translate industry terms — not to replace a licensed public adjuster, attorney, or independent roofing professional. When your situation is genuinely disputed, we recommend seeking licensed local help. Middle Tennessee homeowners can also request a free, no-obligation in-person review through our site.
Privacy in short
You own your documents. They are stored in a private, per-account area of our storage backend and are not shared with contractors, partners, or the public unless you explicitly opt in. You can export or request deletion of your data at any time from the account page. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
